GREAVES FORAGE GARDEN                   A big thank you to the many people at the
BEFORE...                                               gardening session in April 2013!

This site at the rear of Arcon house was the first Fruity Corners project.

Picture
This GoogleEarth picture shows the site before any work started. To the north is a row of garages with a south-facing wall. This has now been planted and supports grapes, herbs and fruit bushes.

In the north-west corner there is a small area next to a garage which has a rich variety of edibles as you can see below.
The grassed area to the right now supports a mini orchard of apple, pear, plum and cherry.  This is thanks in part to a grant from the Green Partnership Awards.

Anyone can work on the plot - it's your garden!

Thanks to funds from the Green Partnership Awards we were able to enhance the project with extra fruit trees and a water-butt. A noticeboard from these funds is soon to follow.

Neighbours did some bulb-planting over winter, as you can see from the beautiful displays we had recently.

There is a wide variety of fruit & herbs to pick. We have even planted hazelnut trees here.
